Financial support in the form of grants & donations is received from various businesses, corporates, individuals and churches:

  • Some of the Foundations which have funded FCD in the pasr, are:
    • Lotto
    • Jumpstart
    • Rotary
    • Rupert
  • Local Government has also assisted FCD with funding during 2014.
    • City of Cape Town

Local church groups and members
The commitment of various church congregations, in the Durbanville area continues to be a source of great encouragement and support enabling FCD to effectively impact the community. Specific areas of support include:

  • Spiritual development of students through mid-week services presented by local pastors
  • Prayer support
  • Financial support
  • Use of facilities for events and meetings
  • Services provided at cost (eg printing)
  • Individual volunteering, which continues to be a strength of FCD, with
    • Facilitation of training
    • Specialist services, including IT, design, admin, accounting
    • Facilitating economic opportunities for students who have succesfully completed their studies, eg
      • introductions to employers for employment opportunities and work experience training
      • providing a network for the Bake for Profit Students to sell their baked products

 

 

Affiliation

The Learn to Earn (LtE) Association model was adopted with the belief that through the Association, the importance of holistic human development principles, if understood and implemented, will contribute to the eradication of poverty, facilitation of job creation and the ensuring of sustainable economic development of unemployed people and local communities.
