Life in the big city!
Office Basics students enjoyed an opportunity to visit the Truworths Fashion Call Centre in Cape Town City centre this week.
Shaunine Williams and her HR interns made sure that we received a good orientation to life in a call centre, demystifying for many the fear factor of corporate life.
Students were given the opportunity of completing the Truworths Assessment process which forms part of their initial recruitment process and received a personalized presentation from HR manager, Shaunine, on how to prepare and present yourself well at an interview.
Our learners were so impressed and responded with much gratitude.
Sibabale Moses Komanisi “I don’t even have words to express myself about what I gained today…”
Gabrielle Campher “Thank you for the wonderful experience. It has been a beautiful and exciting day.”
Rithabile November “I am super excited for the future.”
On the way home, 3 students got stuck on a train outside of Woodstock for almost 2 hours and decided to walk back along the railway line to the closest station. Surprisingly, not even that dampened their spirits. They feel that it was preparation for taking their next step towards employment and independence.
Thank you Truworths Credit Services for this awesome experience
