I think FCD is doing exceptional work in the community

Says Margie Josephs, Care Manager of the facility, “We are delighted with the two of them. They completed their 6-week in-house training with us and we had no doubt that they would fit in with us. They adapted very well and we are proud of the fact that they are still with us. I think that FCD is doing exceptional work in the community and I would 100% recommend them to anybody that I know. Our relationship with them started in 2015.”
Claudette du Plessis had been working as a temp in a factory when she decided she needed to do something else with her life after seeing an ad in the paper for the courses at FCD. She completed her Job Readiness and Frail Care courses in 2015 and has been working at Green Pastures for the past eight months.img-20160920-wa0001

“I didn’t have anything to do and needed a job. When I saw the ad, I thought that this might be a new direction for me. I had to travel from Bishop Lavis and paying for the travel and my tuition fee was difficult. But I am very glad I persevered. The courses showed me how to work with people and believe in myself. I really love working with the elderly and the best part of my job is talking to them. I would really like to stay at Green Pastures for many years to come.”

Claudette believes that FCD does wonderful work and says that she would definitely recommend them to anyone that she knows.
