One of our entrepeneurial courses, Bake for Profit, teaches baking and business skills that can be put into practice to enable the student to start their own baking business, in order to earn an income.

Ntomboxolo was so determined. She had never baked before she signed up for the course. She managed to grow a business and make it profitable 4 weeks into the course. Going from R0 profit to R1000 within the first 4 weeks.
Ability to read English and perform basic calculations.
Some knowledge of baking.
Access to a stove to enable baking and selling from week 1 of the course.
This is a 9 week course, consisting of 2 training days per week.
Theory 8:30am to 4pm on Wednesdays & Baking 8:30am to 3:30pm on Thursdays.
The following recipes are included in the practical training Muffins, Pancakes, Jam tarts, Bread, Doughnuts, Banana bread, Cupcakes and more.
Life Skills and Discipleship sessions provide an opportunity to explore and develop the values and attitudes that lead towards a meaningful life.
Business modules include: Starting your baking business, Money sums, Banking, Costing, Pricing, Business planning, Managing cash flow.
Business skills include costing of products to ensure profitability.
Mentorship sessions are available to support graduates to grow their business.
Baking and selling to be done during the week.
